The title of the 37th single of Japan's nr.1 idol group Morning Musume has been announced. Pepper Keibu it'll be, it's a cover song of Pink Lady's first single. Ai Takahashi (leader) and Risa Niigaki (subleader) already played Pink Lady in the succesfull drama series with the same name last year. So that's probably why this song is chosen to be released now, because of it's recognition.
It's not the first time that Morning Musume covers an olders song, in 2002 they released a remake of the themesong of an old puppet show: Hyokkori Houtan Jima. There's no news yet on the b-side of the single, rumors say it will be the ballad that premiered on their latest live gigs; Ame no Furai Hoshi de wa Ai Senai Darou.
Pepper Keibu will be released september 24th.
Here's the Pink lady version.

Eco da Zoo is a fully three dimensional zoo that features cut out animals that give tips about saving some energy to preserve our environment. The technique behind this website is really astounding, try dragging your mouse across the screen and you'll see what I mean. Lovely art style + marvelous 3D scripting = instant win. Not everything online is as friendly as it may seem at first glance. Netsafe NetBasics raises awareness when it comes to creditcard usage and online transactions, but also the safety of your children while using social software like MSN or AOL. All of this is depicted using incredibly humorous 3D animation. You should watch it http://www.netbasics.org.nz

It seems 5th gen member Ogawa Makoto will make her return to Hello!Project by appearing on an episode of Haromoni@.
The picture with Ogawa, Morning Musume leader Takahashi Ai and
subleader Niigaki Risa on the set of Haromoni@ appeared in a
publication today. Here's a full translation:
Back To TV After Two Years
Former Morning Musume Ogawa Makoto
TV Tokyo's "Hello Morning", June 8
Ogawa
Makoto (20), who graduated from Morning Musume in 2006 to study abroad
in New Zealand, will be making a guest appearance on TV Tokyo's
"Haromoni@" (Sunday Jun 8, 12:30pm) and restarting her show business
career after nearly two years away. Having already recorded it, she
says, "I want to work hard so that Satoda Mai doesn't beat me." While
she was in Morning Musume, she "also played the part of the stupid
one", but after studying English intensively in New Zealand, she scored
730 on the TOEIC. At first, her teacher even said, "Before you start
learning English, you need to study Japanese first." During recording,
she mixed up her Japanese and English a lot. "I know how Lou Oshiba
must feel"

JoJo
in the Stars is a multi award winning short animation movie by Marc
Craste, a senior animation director at Studio AKA in London. Set in the
same surreal nightmare world as the Pica Towers* clips, the story
unfolds around JoJo, a circus slave that has to perform acrobatic
stunts every night. Every evening a boy is watching her in awe, he’s
secretly in love with JoJo. When he tries to rescue her, fate
determines that they can’t be together, at least, not in a happy end
way.
Instead
of a high polished shiny animation, this one looks dark, filthy and
damaged. together with the minimalistic setting, dynamic lighting,
emotional music and subtle storytelling, this became a truly moving
piece of art.
JoJo in the stars: watch it here
Pica Towers:
In
a dark surreal desert like world, violent characters rule the enormous
Pica Tower. View three snippets that were aired on Channel4. Too bad
there’s not more of the Pica Towers world, because I find it amazing.

Today Utada Hikaru released her new studio album “HEART STATION”. It
entered the Japanese Oricon hit charts at #1, selling 67,698 copies on
the first day. I think this is her best album style wise, the deep
river album started a more dreamy sound but also featured a lot of her
older more poppy/R&B style. The Ultra Blue album was a dreamy
extravert album and Heart Station is more introvert. This album feels
like a warm bath. Hikaru is getting more and more unique and I like
that, I hope she’ll experiment way more in the future, I’m interested
in what else she’s up to.
Here’s my opinion on the non-single album tracks:
Fight the Blues
- finally a high quality version of this song, imo the most beautiful
and gentle song by Utada. I looove the soft synths that kick in halfway
through and the little violin melody is awesome. The structure of the
song is simple but it’s very powerful. I also like the fact that Hikki
doesn’t sing very high, I like her voice more when she sings in a lower
tone.
Gentle Beast Interlude - very atmospheric and exotic, I like the echoing voices. Reminds me of Bjork a bit.
Celebrate - feels like a warm bath, nice electronica. It would be a nice openingtrack for a futuristic shoujou anime series.
Prisoner of Love - Sounds like an old style Hikki song beatwise, it has a more poppy feel but it’s definetely a good track.
Take 5
- Loooove it! It has such a nice flow to it, and again those warm synth
sounds. Also the way her voice is layered in the chorus with the little
arpeggio melody is very pleasant. The song cuts of totally abrubt in
the middle of some backing vocals, but it suits the lyrics very well
because they are about dying.
Niji Iro Bus (rainbow colored bus) - a very happy and cute song although the lyrics are pretty dark and moody.
